It is prepaid, not billed — and that is the part worth understanding
You put an amount into a coin balance on purpose, on a screen that shows the price and what it buys before you confirm it. Nothing is stored to be charged later, nothing renews on its own, and making an account does not start anything recurring.
The balance is the ceiling. A call cannot spend past what is in it, which is a blunt but reliable way of deciding in advance how much an evening is allowed to cost. It also means the worst case is bounded: if you top up a small amount and the conversation turns out to be nothing, you are out that amount and nothing else — no subscription to remember to cancel, no card being quietly charged in the background.
- Top up small. Top up again if it is going well. The ceiling is the whole point of having one.
- Do the looking first. Browsing and watching cost nothing, so the paid minutes are the ones to spend on someone you have already decided about.
- Hang up whenever. Nothing continues once you end a call, and going back to the online list is free.
